Mark and Meleah Bauman are co-founders and principals of The Bauman Group, a strategy consulting firm focused on helping aerospace defense companies achieve their goals. MARK BAUMAN
Mark Bauman is the Founder and Principal of The Bauman Group. Mark provides actionable insights to enterprise growth strategies, captures the customer voice in account strategy and proposal reviews, and delivers a seasoned perspective on marketing and communications required to drive growth.
Previously, Mark was the Vice President of Global Growth for Insitu where his primary focus was delivering enhanced solutions and capabilities to their global customer base. Mark also led the development of the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) customer growth strategy and held executive responsibilities for the region. Mark joined Insitu in 2014 as the Program Manager for the RQ-21A Blackjack Program, led the expanding Integrator and RQ-21A product line through its initial deployments supporting multiple Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU) and served as the Deputy General Manager of Insitu Defense through 2016.
Mark also held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Insitu Commercial where he led the expansion of Insitu’s UAS and data management solutions within the oil and gas, transportation, emergency response and other commercial industry segments.
MELEAH BAUMAN
Meleah Bauman is a Principal at The Bauman Group where she supports global defense and security companies’ ability to field new and innovative solutions to unique customer demands. Meleah was previously a Program Manager for Insitu Inc., the world’s leading small, unmanned air system (UAS) provider where she led cross functional teams focused on personnel and hardware support service program for US Government and International customers valued at over $100M. Meleah was responsible for over 20 successful deployment operations for both land and maritime operations providing real-time information gathering from unmanned air vehicles.
Prior to joining Insitu, Meleah was an Intelligence Community Liaison as an Air Force civilian with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. She facilitated the communication of critical threat assessments from intelligence analyst to senior Department of Defense and Intelligence Community decision makers, Congressional Members and Staffers, and the National Security Staff.
Meleah began her career in the U.S. Air Force serving in multiple assignments as an acquisition officer along with one assignment as an aircraft maintenance officer. She culminated her activity duty career serving as a Program Element Monitor for Headquarters Air Force at the Pentagon. Meleah continued her uniformed service in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as part of both Headquarters Air Force, Intelligence and Secretary of Air Force, Acquisitions. Meleah retired in 2017 at the rank of Lt Col.
Meleah is a DAWIA-Certified Level II Program Manager via the Defense Acquisition University.
